The Hernando County School District is a fully accredited school district located on the central-west coast of Florida, also known as Florida’s Adventure Coast.

The district is comprised of:
5 high schools
4 middle schools
3 K-8 schools
10 elementary schools
1 alternative school
3 charter schools
3 technical/adult education centers

Special Programs:
Cambridge Assessment International Education (AICE) Diploma
International Baccalaureate (IB)

We currently have over 23,000 students and employ approximately 3,100 staff members.
