| Posting Summary | The Rutgers University School of Social Work is currently seeking a non-tenure, teaching or professional practice, track (NTT) faculty member to serve as the MSW program’s Director of the Certificate on Interpersonal Violence and Trauma (C-IVT). The certificate program was developed in 2007 and was the first of its kind nationally. It offers students the opportunity to specialize their advanced year studies on issues of interpersonal violence and trauma in order to provide trauma informed culturally responsive social work practice effectively. We are seeking a Director who will continue to build the program’s national reputation and align with the mission and values of Rutgers University, the School of Social Work, and the Center for Research on Ending Violence. The faculty member will teach between 3 and 6 courses per year (determined by the number of students participating in the program), develop and place students in interpersonal violence related practicum learning settings across program options, oversee student placement experience, create a sense of community among certificate students; teach Seminars in Field Instruction (SIFI), represent the school and the certificate program in the University and the community, contribute to curriculum development, and other related duties as assigned. All NTT faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly/professional dissemination and service activities in accordance with their rank. This is a 12-month (calendar year) New Brunswick based position subject to contractual renewals. Rank appointment and salary is commensurate with experience. |

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience | Minimum Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work; 4 years of post-MSW clinical practice experience; practice expertise in the areas of interpersonal violence and trauma; record of excellence in teaching; engagement with organizations serving individuals and families coping with trauma and violence; ability to work with diverse constituencies and engage with a collegial and inclusive culture. Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree (DSW or PhD) in social work or related field; work experience in higher education; record of scholarly contributions; familiarity with inclusive pedagogy; experience with practicum, including within an online program. Curriculum vitae, letter of application (cover letter), list of references, teaching evaluations if available, and at least one writing sample are required.
